Weight-loss in pictures

by Mike Vifquain on March 14, 2010

As I’ve started to feel down about my weight-loss progress, I really haven’t taken time to think about what I have accomplished so far.  I know I am working hard, and not starving myself with a 1500 calorie a day diet.  I know I am getting stronger and building muscle.  I just don’t see it reflecting in the scale.  It’s time to see exactly what I have accomplished.

The photos below are a compilation of my weight-loss progress to date.

Now that I look at the pictures, I do see progress.  I feel a little better.  I have a long way to go.

Can you see a difference?

Yes, I can definitely see a difference – you’re making some great progress. I keep thinking that I need to take some progress pics so I can compare, I just haven’t gotten around to actually doing it…

Keep it up man!

That’s great progress! You’ve done pretty well so far I reckon. I’ve been at this for 7 years and I’m still not at goal!

Dude you are doing awesome! You can see a definately see a difference. My wife always tells me “even though the number on the scale doesnt change, you can still see you are losing inches.” to a degree thats right, especially if you are building muscle. Good job. Have you take measurements?

Yeah inches is all that counts right now man. Thanks for the post!

I haven’t taken measurements yet. I suppose I should, I just don’t have the tape for it yet. lol. I can tell you the size 42/44 jeans I was wearing in December fall off me now. I’m into the 38/40s comfortably now;-)

I definitely see changes! Wow my bf is as big as you and I’m going to show this blog to him because he feels so hopeless and just keeps saying that it’s impossible for him to lose weight. Keep on inspiring people!

Thanks for stopping by Ed. I’ve held on around 285 but haven’t dropped much. I’ve fallen off the wagon the last few weeks and have enjoyed too much beer and high-calorie food. I’ll be making a post soon with an update, and get back to the regular scheduled posting.
