Thanks Michael -

I haven't done the bodyfat monitor for a while. I'll do it this week and report back here. I know I am losing bodyfat, it shows in the pictures. I'm hoping the muscle build is coming and will be followed by some drastic fat loss. lol.

Don't let it get you down man. We've all got these big grand plans of just dropping all this excess weight and being our new healthy selves that we imagine. We see others around us who are able to lose weight with seemingly little effort. But everyone's different, and as long as you keep dropping weight, and keep at it, you'll reach your goal. Maybe not as quickly as you had originally hoped, but the important thing is that you'll make it.

Keep it up man, you're doing great.

Hey Mike!

I love reading your progress reports. You're going to get there and live forever (god help us!).

Are you monitoring your body fat % by any chance?
The last time you lost a boatload of weight...were you doing as much weight training?

My hunch is you may be doing better than you think. If you're going gonzo, adding muscle tissue, the scale CAN move in the direction opposite of what your instincts might tell you. As you know, muscle weighs more than fat. You *could* be losing plenty of body fat while packing on muscle. To really have an accurate gauge of your progress you should strongly consider a body fat monitor so you really know how you're doing. Sometimes the scale only tells a small portion of the true picture. I track my BF% daily...first thing in the morning. Keeps me sane and I LOVE when the scale moves to the heavier side while my BF% goes down. It means I am adding PURE MUSCLE! =)

Get the true picture, my friend...and hang in there!
